Description

Annual sedge, like all sedges, have a characteristic triangular shaped stem. It can persist in mowed lawns and is often mistaken for grasses until the seedhead is visible. The seedhead of annual sedge contains clusters of flattened spikelet that make it easy to distinguish from other species of sedges.
