Description

There are many species of lespedeza but annual lespedeza is the most common in lawns. It is a mat-forming summer annual weed with a semi-woody taproot that can tolerate low-mowing heights. Leaves are pinnately compound with 3 leaflets that have entire margins. It often flowers in late summer and produces white, pink, or purple.
